It's located on the wall in the rear of a local used furniture shop. It still runs well, but the shop owner, who has had the clock for about 25 years since he inherited the store, says the neon tubing surrounding the numbers no longer works. (He plans someday to get it repaired.) You may well argue that there are uglier, more hideous skirts out there in the thrifting world; but at the time I spied this on the "retro" rack at Thrift City USA in beautiful downtown Pinellas Park*, my eyes watered, my throat constricted, and a hideous horse laugh emanated from my mouth.
